The project

The TRANSUNIV Interreg France-Wallonie-Vlaanderen project aims to promote the professional integration and mobility of students in the cross-border area. While pursuing the initiatives conducted during the INTERREG IV, it goes further by proposing measures that will benefit all students (bachelor's, master's and doctoral degrees).

Thanks to the project's initiatives, the students from the three regions can:

  • Enter the workplace in all three sectors, hence all three of the existing organisational systems
  • Occupy a better position on the European scene and on the doctoral measures of the cross-border area
  • Develop innovative problem-solving measures for the entire area that bring together businesses and students/doctoral students.

This is the background to the TRANSUNIV project that is part of the topic/priority "to promote the cross-border employment and mobility of workers and integrate the labour markets".

The purpose of the project is to:

  • Conduct doctoral measures by offering bespoke modules for improving knowledge about the socio-economic, entrepreneurial and institutional contexts of the three border sectors
  • A lasting impact of the student mobility schemes
  • develop internships or courses with placements as part of the bachelor's and master's degree courses.

The project aims to:

  • Promote the cross-border mobility of students and doctoral students
  • Facilitate professional integration in the labour markets within the three sectors and three organisational systems
  • Build a permanent cooperation area in the three cross-border regions between the academic partners and socio-economic players.
